Acceptable character types are Vampires or Ghouls. No mortal characters will be allowed into the game.
Vampires must be less than 100 years since embrace, Ghouls must also be less than 100 years since they were ghouled, and must have a Player Character vampire as a domitor.
Players may have only one character at this time. Focusing our play on a smaller group of characters at the start of the game is for everyone's benefit.
All vampires and ghouls start with 7/5/3 dots to be distributed between their characteristics, 13/9/5 for their abilities.
Vampires begin with 4 dots in disciplines. Ghouls begin with 1 dot in Potence, and 2 to be split between either on Fortitude or on a clan discipline that their Domitor possesses at 1 dot or higher.
Vampires and Ghouls begin with 0 dots in backgrounds. All backgrounds must be purchased with freebie points.
Ghouls and Vampires on the Path of Humanity get five dots to add to their conscience, courage, and self-control.
Vampires on a Path of Enlightenment also gain five dots to add, but remember that any alternate virtue (conviction or instinct) start at zero dots.
A vampire on a Path of Enlightenment must have Willpower of 5+.
Vampires and Ghouls start with a base 15 freebie points.
Bonus Freebies are granted according to the "experience" of the character, according to their background. This is so that the "just shoveled" vampires and the "been around for 50 years as a Sabbat" vampires do not start off on the same level.
Furthermore, you earn 5 bonus freebies by having an awesome character picture/avatar -- note: Lasombra avatars/character pictures must not be photographs.
Please outline and describe all backgrounds, merits and flaws. All game mechanic effects of any merits and flaws should also be listed.
If your character is selected to be the Archbishop's "chosen" Ductus or Priest, you will be granted a bonus 15 or 10 freebies, respectively.
