The Sabbat battle against Methuselahs and Antediluvians; they see their insidious world-spanning influence behind everything. They are well aware of the sheer and utter mystical power, as well as their control over the mortal herd -- reaching so deep that they control history itself -- that these ancients possess.
The Sabbat has been around long enough that many of its own elders are reaching a level of age that enables them to rival that of their counterparts in the Camarilla. But the Sabbat is cannibalistic. And they always watch their elders for signs of corruption or weakness.
La Majestad Oscura, the Archibishop of Chihuahua, is one such elder. She is one of the Sabbat who work actively on the upper level of the Jyhad. The Bishops of Tijuana have decided she has gone too far into the role of a puppetmaster, and they seek to replace her. This conflict and theme is likely to take center stage several times in the course of the chronicle.
